Why you need both photography and videography coverage at your Destination Wedding in Aruba!

When it comes to capturing the magic of your wedding day, couples are often faced with the decision of whether to hire a photographer, a videographer, or both. I’m here to let you know that each option tells a unique story that you will cherish forever. That is why you should seriously consider budgeting for a wedding video as well as photographs to frame.

Photography

  • Timeless Memories: Photography captures those unforgettable candid moments and emotions in still frames, allowing you to relive the highlights of your wedding day for years to come.

  • Versatility: Photographs can be easily shared with friends and family, displayed in albums or frames, and used as your screensaver.

  • Creative Possibilities: Professional photographers use their expertise to create stunning compositions, play with lighting, and capture the beauty of your beautiful wedding venue and decor.

  • Stealthy: Photographers can discreetly capture moments without disrupting the flow of the day, allowing you and your guests to feel more relaxed and natural. Just think of us as an extra guest!

Videography

  • Dynamic Storytelling: Videography captures the sights and sounds of your wedding day in motion, providing a more immersive and cinematic experience.

  • Emotional Impact: Video allows you to hear vows, speeches, and laughter. That way you can relive the joy and tears in real-time, enhancing the emotional resonance of your wedding memories.

  • Complete Coverage: Videographers can capture the entire flow of your wedding day, from the excitement of getting ready to the heartfelt moments of the ceremony and reception.

  • Creative Expression: Professional videographers use cinematic techniques, music, and editing to create a personalized film that reflects your unique love story, wedding style and specific wishes.

Photography is generally known by everyone to be a staple on your wedding day… “Oh you didn’t book a photographer?! That’s weird…” Whereas videography, growing in popularity only over the recent years, is not as common and I personally think not everyone understands the pros of being able to look back on your official wedding video.

You’ll see your wedding photos almost everyday of your life - whether it’s as a screensaver or a 10-foot long canvas print on your wall at home. So obviously very important to choose your wedding photographer wisely and trust them!

Your wedding video, however, will be watched maybe only once or twice every few months… When the whole family comes together at Thanksgiving or Christmas, or your anniversary, and you decide to play the official wedding video for everyone to watch with some popcorn or a glass of wine, that’s when the video tops the photos. I myself experienced this very feeling recently last Christmas when we went to my brother’s in-laws to celebrate, and we watched their wedding video all together, almost 2 years after the date. We had all seen it before, but watching it together made it so much more special… commentary from everybody, everyone had all their attention on the TV, re-living these moments and waiting for their cameos. And just imagine, this is from people who were there on the day… imagine showing your kids your wedding photos, but then sitting down and watching your wedding video with them… something that will transport them back to that same day when you were young marrrying the love of your life in Aruba and not knowing what the future holds, let alone that your future kids would be there right beside you through your wedding video.

It’s worth bearing in mind - this is not an exhaustive list. There are plenty more reasons to choose to create a wedding film and have photographs throughout the event. It all comes down to the fact that encapsulating that special day through a variety of mediums allows you to have those memories forever, both to display and watch whenever you want.
